Greg Linden is the Principal at Linden Tech Advisors, LLC. He is active in Minnesota’s e-Health Initiative and is currently involved in helping communities move forward with electronic Health Information Exchange (HIE). He is currently providing business project leadership for Minnesota’s Department of Human Services (DHS) Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) program, and he was the technical SME for Minnesota’s DHS Encounter Alert Service effort, which is rolling out statewide. He was an HIT Subject Matter Expert supporting Minnesota’s DHS on their CMS TEFT project (2014-2019). Greg is also a project leader for a DHS program implementing Consent2Share and the Omnibus Care Plan (OCP) solution (a FHIR-based system designed to coordinate patient care), both developed by SAMHSA, in a community to help providers better manage consent for electronic exchange of health data. He has been engaged to produce content for the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) to advance the Value-Based Payment model as part of ONC’s Innovation Accelerator Program (IAP) nationally. Greg has been under contract to Georgia Tech as a resource on their project for the ONC to establish a new electronic long-term services and supports (eLTSS) standard, and has modeled the standard in HL7’s FHIR. He served on the national HIMSS Standards Advisory Work Group, providing guidance to the ONC on their Interoperability Standards Advisory. He was the technical SME for a CMS grant project known as “HIT for Post-Acute Care” (HITPAC – demonstrating continuity of care using HIE). Greg is an Adjunct Professor with the College of St. Scholastica, teaching Strategic Management in Health Care in their HIM graduate program. He served as the Chairman of the National Broadband for Rural Healthcare Committee (2012-2013). Greg has served in executive roles with United Health Group, Medtronic, Stratis Health and Health Systems Integration. He also worked at IBM for 13 years.
