Chief Compliance Officer, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). Cynthia is the designated Privacy Officer and Security Officer responsible for ensuring MDHHS compliance with applicable local, state, federal laws and regulations, third-party guidelines, and internal policies and procedures. Over the past 23 years, Cynthia has held several positions within MDHHS ranging from the administration of health information exchange activities for Medicaid, data warehousing, document management, and data sharing initiatives to Community Based Services and Third-Party Liability. Cynthia has been a long-time advocate for advancements in infrastructure improvements as well as data integration, sharing, visualization, and analytics that aid care coordination and value-based care across physical health, behavioral health, and human services. Prior to joining the State in 1995, Cynthia worked in various positions including critical care nursing, human resources, and research.
