Deanne Wertin has twenty-five years of experience working within and across federal, state and local, and not-for-profit organizations focused on the design and development of IT solutions that facilitate data sharing, analytics, and use to improve outcomes.  After starting her career in the U.S. Air Force and then leading commercial consulting practices serving both government and commercial health entities, she transitioned to California State service in 2018 to focus on improving health and human services system interoperability and on realizing the potential of shared data for program improvement and the increased well-being of all Californians, with an emphasis on those most in need of health and human services.    Deanne holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the University of California in Davis, California.
