Juan has more than 25 years of experience and an extensive knowledge base that encompasses information technology, financial planning, business process optimization, strategic planning, cost-benefit analysis, government procurement, and project management.
Presently Juan is leading a major IT planning initiative with Fairfax County, one of the largest counties in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The county is looking to transform its health and human services system into a system that is client-centered with integration across health and human welfare programs and services. As part of this effort, Juan is facilitating an information access, use and sharing workgroup comprised of 16 localities and officials from the Commonwealth’s Health and Human Services Secretariat. Juan is also leading a multi-agency electronic health record replacement project with Fairfax County’s Health Department and Community Services Board (behavioral health authority).
